The latest news from Vuototecnica concerns the expansion of the range of vacuum reducers, with the introduction of models with 2″ and 3″ gas sizes.

This expansion is a direct response to the need to manage large capacities of vacuum pumps, especially in centralised systems such as those used in food packaging, which sometimes have large suction drops.

Unlike vacuum regulating valves, the reducers do not introduce air into the system, allowing the creation of several suction points with different vacuum values from a single source.

Particularly in large systems, the aim is to avoid bottlenecks in the suction sections of the pumps, ensuring optimal flow and precise vacuum regulation.

The new 2″ and 3″ reducers, perfect in combination with the Vuototecnica 2″ and 3″ gas solenoid valves, fit perfectly within the Vuototecnica philosophy of providing adequate and proportionate components, while maintaining the benefits of “classic” reducers.

Furthermore, they not only extend the dimensional range but also offer the possibility of choosing between:

  1. manual adjustment, by turning a knurled screw clockwise to increase the vacuum, and anti-clockwise to reduce it;
  2. pneumatic adjustment, by acting on the pressure of the compressed air supply to the pneumatic cylinder (the higher the pressure, the greater the degree of vacuum obtained, and vice versa).

The mechanism of manually regulated reducers is based on a diaphragm-piston using the pressure differential between the secondary vacuum and atmospheric pressure.

The mechanism of pneumatically regulated gearboxes is based on the contrasting action between a short-stroke pneumatic cylinder and a floating piston driven by the pressure differential between the secondary vacuum and atmospheric pressure.

Manual adjustment guarantees precision and immediacy and is ideal for situations requiring high customisation. Pneumatic regulation, on the other hand, offers an optimal solution where a more dynamic and process-integrated control is required.

A choice that greatly increases the versatility of the gearboxes, making them suitable for a wide variety of applications.
