In the video below you can see the test of a special Octopus gripper hand that Vuototecnica’s technical department recently designed for a customer.

The end user needed to pick up and box small flowpacks of rusks like the ones you see in the pictures.

Thanks to this customized Octopus solution, the picking can finally be done smoothly. The flexible film of the rusks pack is no longer a problem.

In fact, as you can see from the video, the rapid translation of the packet does not affect the stability of the grip and the release is smooth and immediate. The packs and rusks, even if fragile, are not damaged in the process.

What is even more advantageous, the Octopus gripper hand, designed this way, is interchangeable with the suction cup picking system already existing on the customer’s system. This avoids expensive design and configuration changes to the robots.

In the final design, ten of these heads are assembled, side by side, to pick up the individual packs, and box them together in the big box you can see in the video.
