In the following video, you can see a rotary slotting machine for cardboard boxes in action, a machine used in cardboard processing lines to create the slots and preparations necessary for box forming, operations that require speed, continuous operation, and reliable control of the vacuum system.
The application shown in the video is the result of a collaboration with our partner distributor in Mantua, Ptechno, and its owner, Matteo Graziani.
As you can see, the PVP170M multi-stage pneumatic vacuum generator was used to replace the traditional rotary vane vacuum pumps normally installed on machines of this type.
The advantages are numerous.
First of all, the PVP170M requires only compressed air to operate, and its configuration makes it particularly suitable when high suction flow rates are needed, while maintaining moderate air consumption.
Furthermore, the use of the three-way vacuum solenoid valve (07 06 11), featuring a full passage with a cross-section of approximately 40 mm, ensures a high suction flow and allows the machine to operate correctly even at relatively low vacuum levels.
The configuration implemented by Ptechno on this slotting machine also includes the insertion of a vacuum “reservoir” between the pneumatic generator and the three-way vacuum solenoid valve. This feature stabilizes the system and allows the machine to operate at a vacuum level of approximately -300 mbar, truly minimizing compressed air consumption.
Results like these rarely stem from a single component. Rather, they are the result of product integration and, above all, of shared work and a long-standing collaboration with partner distributors such as Ptechno, who, together with Vuototecnica, contribute to developing and refining real-world application solutions. It is precisely this network of expertise, built over time, that creates the value chain ultimately experienced by end-users.
It is no coincidence that the Vuototecnica catalogue is called the Vacuum Solutions Catalogue: because the goal is not to supply products, but to develop solutions capable of effectively meeting specific needs.
