The journey of Jonan Dolphin Conservation continues, discovering the world of dolphins and their charm, as it dives into the waves and the Italian seabed. Vuototecnica took to the field, rather, “to the waters”, working with Jonian Dolphin Conservation experts, putting all of its vacuum technology to work for the cause. Vuototecnica vacuum cups took a ride on the backs of dolphins as supports for the crittercams, which are special cameras that capture every moment of these elegant mammals’ lives.

True stars of the project, the Vuototecnica vacuum cups are an indispensable support for crittercams as they film the all of the secrets of the dolphins’ underwater world. All of this is done in order to make it possible to produce a documentary that has a clear and noble purpose: to inform, raise awareness and astound, showing the beauty of the dolphins that inhabit our seas, as they are treasures that must be preserved and protected.

The documentary is starting to take shape, thanks largely to the material that was recorded by crittercams that were mounted onto the dolphins’ backs with Vuototecnica vacuum cups, specifically designed to study the behaviour and habitat of a particular dolphin species: the Stenella Coeruleoalba. Acting as natural scenery in this documentary are the Ionian Sea and, more specifically, the Gulf of Taranto, home to this species of dolphins.

A charming and amusing first-look of the documentary, entitled “The dolphins of Taras“, which will be ready at the end of 2012, is the eponymous e-book available on the Internet. It utilizes cartoons to recount the journey into the world of dolphins.
